USA Hockey Grossly Over Exaggerates U.S. Women’s National Team’s Demands To Sway Public Opinion
USA Hockey decided to try and sway public opinion when they released a statement surrounding some of the U.S. Women’s National Team’s demands by over exaggerating what the women’s hockey team is looking for as far as fair compensation.
As usual, the governing body over stepped their boundaries and made fools out of themselves by trying to mislead their media partners and the public with outrageous and over exaggerated numbers.
When you really look closely at USA Hockey’s statement it’s actually quite funny but at the same time extremely insulting to the women’s team.http://www.torontosun.com/2017/03/18/women-players-dispute-usa-hockey-numbers-on-wages
For the governing body to try to lead on that they are honestly looking to work things out with the women’s team, it’s hard to fathom why they’d think it was a good idea to issue a statement that is completely false and misleading to the highest degree.
USA Hockey will now have to face the wrath of hockey’s whistle blowers when hosting this years Women’s World Championships. We already know that hockey’s governing bodies prefer to lie when filling out VISA applications and other official government documentations and we believe USA Hockey is no different in this aspect.
Hockey organizations who enter players into the U.S. from other countries have been known to lie on VISA applications in order to circumvent laws and cut corners. It will be very interesting to see how these VISA applications will be filled out for players competing in this years World Championships.
Whatever the case may be, USA Hockey better make sure they dot all of their I’s and cross all of their T’s on these VISA applications because we’ll be monitoring everything aspect of the tournament extremely closely.
CHLPA and WAIPU fully support the Women’s National Team’s decision to take a strong stand to help protect future generations of women’s hockey as well as their own.
